The Renee & Chaim Gross Foundation is pleased to annouce the support of the exhibition "A Love of Wood: Chaim Gross's I Love My Baby" at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut (November 11, 2020 - March 21, 2021). The exhibition is centered around the recent gift of a major wood sculpture by Chaim Gross: I Love My Baby (1948). The Foundation aided the exhibition through research assistance and the loan of two drawings, a suite of archival photos, two films, and 23 sculpture tools pulled from the preserved sculpture studio at the Foundation. Curated by Partricia Hickson, the exhibition focuses on Gross's techniques and reviving of the method of direct carving in the 20th-century.
